The PANO BLUESEAL® is more than just a lug twist-off closure: it is distinguished by its PVC-free seal made of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), identifiable by its blue color. For consumers, the blue ring is also an indication that no plasticizers are present that could contaminate the packaged product.
Due to their fat solubility, plasticizers can be particularly hazardous in fatty products. When foods containing plasticizers are consumed, these substances are absorbed by the body, accumulate over time, and may exert hormone-like effects. The liver, kidneys, and testes can be affected. Plasticizers may impair reproductive capability and—during pregnancy—can harm the unborn child.
The PANO BLUESEAL® closure is manufactured with a strong focus on sustainability, environmental protection, and health safety. For this reason, PANO® exclusively uses BPA-NI coatings to avoid the hormone-disrupting risks associated with bisphenol A. At the same time, the coatings used by PANO also omit the use of PFAS (PFAS-NI). PFAS chemicals are highly persistent and are therefore also known as so-called “forever chemicals.”
